I was born in St. Louis Missouri and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma. As an artist, I’ve always created my work through the eyes of inner freedom. The expression in my paintings are free-flowing and have no limits. Whatever I feel at the moment I express it and portray it onto the canvas. I have to have music playing whenever I paint. I connect with the music and the emotion of the music that I’m listening to at the time and it helps me to disconnect from the outside world and think clearly. I found an interest and passion for sketching and drawing throughout the years and experimented with pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, enamel, airbrush, and oil.
I went on to attend California Institute of the Arts in California in 1993 receiving my BFA.
I was born with amblyopia which only allows me to see out of one eye. But, I did not let that stop me from my passion. Although I haven’t done any raw drawings in a while, I’ve become really fond of acrylics, oils, and enamels. I also started using different textures such as glue, sugar, drywall compound as well as saran wrap. I recently began working on Masonite board, panel boards, as well as canvas. My recent modern abstracts are my most recent creations as well as dabbling in street/stencil art and expressing my views of what I think is really going on in this world. My art lets me express my personal feelings and views without limits.
